Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, the latest version of Counter-Strike from Valve will be available on 21st August. While Xbox 360 and PS3 owners can grab the game from Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network respectively, PC gamers will be able to pick up a boxed copy of the game from local retailers for Rs 699.

CS: GO will feature ?new maps, characters, and weapons? along with updates to classic maps like Dust, Dust 2, Aztec, Inferno etc. The game will also add on new features seen in current multiplayer games, such as matchmaking, leader boards, and so on.

Can I drive across the Mexico border in my partner's car?

Can I take a road trip to Mexico in a car that's not registered in my name?

I'm planning a road trip to Baja California with some friends. My car is registered under my partner's name only (who sadly can't join us because he has to work), though we are both on the insurance, and obviously have the same address on all documents.

Will I be able to drive the car across the border? Because we'll both be out of town until the day before I'm planning to leave, I don't think I can get my name added to the title before the road trip.

It seems that I don't need a temporary vehicle importation permit if I'm just driving around Baja, and so won't need to show the title/registration documents, but I'm having trouble confirming on the Internet that my specific situation is ok. Any advice the hive mind can offer?

Should Hector Lombard drop to welterweight after debut loss at UFC 149?

Hector Lombard came into UFC 149 riding a long win streak and an unstoppable hype train. He walked out of UFC 149 with a decision loss and a disappointed boss.

"It wasn't the fight I was expecting," UFC president Dana White admitted. "It just wasn't what I thought it was going to be. Whether it was Boetsch or Lombard winning, I was expecting a real war. I thought this thing was going to be a war."

It was far from an exciting bout, as Lombard, known for his aggression and knockouts, showed little aggressiveness in the bout. White wondered if Octagon jitters got the best of Lombard, and also threw out the idea that middleweight is too big of a weight class.

"Lombard maybe should fight at 170," White said. "He made 185 easily. He's short and wide, but I think he could make 170."

In a Q and A before the UFC 149 weigh-ins, middleweight Michael Bisping made jokes about Lombard's height.

"I bumped into Hector Lombard in the elevator, and I thought someone was playing a practical joke. I was like, 'Who is this dwarf?' I think he's in the wrong weight class. I think he's in the 125 weight class."

At 5-foot-9, Lombard is one of the shortest middleweights in the division. Most 185ers in the UFC are at least six-foot. Champion Anderson Silva is 6-foot-2. Though fighters have overcome height and reach differences in bouts -- think Pat Barry knocking out Stefan Struve -- there is no reason for Lombard to come into the fight at a disadvantage if he is comfortable dropping down.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) ? Melky Cabrera, Pablo Sandoval and Matt Cain helped the National League to a Giant blowout in the All-Star game.

After all the talk about AL dominance during an offseason when Albert Pujols and Prince Fielder switched leagues, the NL romped to an 8-0 victory over the American League on Tuesday night.

The World Series will start in the city of the NL champion for the third straight year.

"It's a nice edge," the NL's Tony La Russa said after his final game as a manager.

Flashing their bright orange spikes and booming bats, the San Francisco sluggers keyed a five-run blitz against Justin Verlander in the first inning.

Cabrera homered and won the MVP award in the ballpark where he played last season, and Cain got the win in the NL's most-lopsided All-Star victory.

"I didn't come to win an MVP. That's just a surprise," the former Royals outfielder said, his mother and grandmother next to him.

"The same opportunity that Kansas City gave me last year is the same opportunity that San Francisco is giving me every day to showcase my talent."

Chipper Jones singled in his final All-Star at-bat at age 40. Ryan Braun, an All-Star again after his drug suspension was overturned last winter, doubled, tripled and made a fine catch in the outfield to help give the NL its first three-game winning streak in two decades.

Teen sensation Bryce Harper had a shaky All-Star debut with a walk, strikeout and missed catch. Fellow rookie Mike Trout, only 20, showed off his dynamic skills.

Cain combined with Stephen Strasburg, R.A. Dickey, Aroldis Chapman and the rest of a lights-out staff on a six-hitter.

The game was pretty much decided a few moments after it started.

Sandoval hit the first bases-loaded triple in All-Star history off Verlander, who couldn't control his 100 mph heat. Cabrera singled and scored the first run, then hit a two-run homer against Matt Harrison in a three-run fourth.

"I don't get many triples," said the slow-footed Sandoval, known as Kung Fu Panda. "We had some fun with that in the dugout."

San Francisco fans, who made a late voting push to elect Sandoval and Cabrera to starting spots, might really appreciate the victory come October. The Giants are a half-game behind the first-place Dodgers in the NL West.

Rafael Furcal also hit a three-bagger, making the NL the first league with three in an All-Star game.

As the All-Stars returned to Kansas City for the first time since 1973, La Russa bid farewell to the national stage in the city where he played for his first major league team.

Having retired after managing St. Louis to last year's World Series title, La Russa became just the fourth inactive manager to skipper an All-Star team and improved to 4-2.

"Just lucky, like I've been 30 years," La Russa said.

The NL boosted its advantage to 43-38-2 and won for just the third time in the 10 years the All-Star game has been used to determine home-field advantage in the World Series. La Russa's Cardinals benefited from last year's NL All-Star victory, with St. Louis winning Games 6 and 7 at home against Ron Washington's Texas Rangers.

"It's very disappointing, because we're competitors and we want to win," said Washington, who lost for the second straight year. "They came out. They swung the bats. Once they got the lead, started bringing those arms in their hand, and they got the job done."

Jones, retiring at the end of the season, also had one last All-Star moment, pinch hitting in the sixth and singling just past second baseman Ian Kinsler and into right field. Jones chuckled as the ball rolled through.

La Russa asked Jones to address the team before the game and the Atlanta third baseman told players: "Whether you're 19 or 40, we are all equals here."

"I am not going out losing my last one. So, you with me?" he added.

At 19 the youngest position player in All-Star history, Harper had a shaky start when he entered in the fifth. The heralded rookie, wearing shiny gold shoes, didn't flash a Gold Glove and lost Mike Napoli's routine fly to left in the lights, allowing it to drop behind him for a single.

Harper then caught Kinsler's bases-loaded flyball to end the inning, earning applause from the crowd of 40,933 at Kauffman Stadium, spruced up by a $250 million renovation that was completed three years ago.

Harper tagged up on a long fly after his walk in the fifth, but got himself hung up in a rundown and tagged out.

Trout, among a record five All-Star rookies, had a nice showing against two very different pitchers. The Angels outfielder singled and stole a base against Dickey's knuckleball, then drew a walk against Chapman and his 101 mph heat.

"I'm going to remember this the rest of my life," Trout said.

Cain pitched the 22nd perfect game in big league history last month. He didn't have to be perfect in this one, allowing one hit in two innings for the win.

"For those guys to go out and score five runs in the first inning was definitely a little more relaxing for me," he said. "But I still tried to stay focused."

Cain was followed by 10 relievers, with Jonathan Papelbon getting the last out with a runner on third base.

Verlander had a puzzling outing. In games that count, he hasn't allowed five runs in an inning since April 2010, according to STATS LLC. He became the first All-Star to give up a five-spot since Houston's Roger Clemens in front of his hometown fans in 2004.

"I know this game means something and you don't want to give up runs, but we're here for the fans," Verlander said. "I know the fans don't want to see me throw 90 and try to hit the corners."

In a 35-pitch inning, he threw five pitches clocked at 100 mph and another at 101.

"Hitting 100 in the first inning? Normally you see the guy throw 93, 94 in the first and then hit 100 in the eighth. We saw him hit 101," Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano said. "The funniest part was Fielder said to him, 'Hit 101' and the next pitch he hit 101. Is it that easy?"

La Russa, usually serious and tense after games, was playful after his finale, chanting "Mel-ky! Mel-ky! Mel-ky!" as the MVP walked to the podium.

"If you're trying to win one game, there's not a better manager out there," Braun said. "It's only fitting that he went out with a win."

NEW YORK (AP) ? The New York Yankees have told Mr. October to stay away this summer.

The Yankees want Reggie Jackson to steer clear of the clubhouse and team events following his pointed remarks about Alex Rodriguez and several former stars, a person familiar with the situation told The Associated Press on Monday.

The Hall of Famer will lay low for several weeks, the person told the AP on condition of anonymity because there was no formal announcement. Jackson was not disciplined or fined, and will remain as a special adviser to the Yankees.

ESPN initially reported Jackson would be indefinitely absent from the Yankees.

Jackson recently was quoted by Sports Illustrated as saying some of Rodriguez's statistics were tainted because the Yankees slugger had admitted using performance-enhancing drugs. Jackson has spoken to Rodriguez since then to explain his comments.

Jackson also said he didn't see Gary Carter, Kirby Puckett and others as Hall of Famers.

The MVP of the 1977 World Series with the Yankees was told not to travel to Boston last weekend for New York's four-game series at Fenway Park to avoid becoming a distraction. The Yankees will contact Jackson when they want him back on the scene, the person said.

Jackson was on the field in Kansas City on Monday night for the All-Star Home Run Derby and waved to the crowd. He did not hold an interview session.

Jackson told SI that A-Rod was a friend, adding: "But I think there are real questions about his numbers. As much as I like him, what he admitted about his usage does cloud some of his records."

The former star also said there were several players that he didn't view as worthy of Cooperstown.

"I didn't see Kirby Puckett as a Hall of Famer. I didn't see Gary Carter as a Hall of Famer. I didn't see Don Sutton as a Hall of Famer. I didn't see Phil Niekro as a Hall of Famer. As much as I like Jim Rice, I'm not so sure he's a Hall of Famer," Jackson was quoted by SI.

Carter died in February and several former players have criticized the timing of Jackson's remarks. The person indicated Jackson was reaching out to the families of Carter and Puckett, as well as the Hall of Famers he mentioned.

Hosting its first All-Star game in nearly 40 years, the city has been scrambling to present a positive image not just to TV viewers but thousands of out-of-town fans expected to be in Kansas City over the next several days. While many are glad the work is being done, some take it as an insult that the improvements are more for the benefit of out-of-towners.

"The conversation is, 'Why did it take this?'" said Pat Clarke, executive director of a local activist group PAC 20. "This is something that needed to be done a long time ago."

On Monday, as a demolition crew was tearing down an abandoned house near Cleveland Park ? one of four community ballparks where the RBI Classic youth baseball and softball tournaments will be held over four days ? Clarke noted the home's history.

"For years, drugs were run out of that house," he said. "Also in that one across the street, and in a vacant lot a few blocks over, with the Boys Club right behind it."

Schulte said 32 homes in neighborhoods near the ball complexes and along the route to Kauffman Stadium are being torn down ahead of the game. They are among the roughly 125 abandoned homes the city plans to tear down this year, he said.

Overall, there are about 800 structures on the city's list of dangerous properties that need to be fixed or torn down. Partially as a result of preparing for the All-Star activities, Schulte said, the city is moving from a scattershot approach in dealing with blighted homes to one that is more neighborhood-based.

"We typically choose them randomly, just kind of hit the worst ones around town," Schulte said. "Now we're trying to move toward a more consolidated effort. The All-Star game was a perfect catalyst."

Clarke, who grew up in the area and played baseball at Cleveland Park more than 30 years ago, said he thinks people who attend the youth tournaments will be safe during the daylight hours, when games will be played. At night? Not so much.

"Is it safe? "It's the east side. I don't think there's anything to worry about as far as the ballgames, but I'm not going to say some cars won't be broken into."

Kansas City police have spent nearly a year getting a security plan in place, receiving assistance from local, state and federal agencies, Maj. Rich Lockhart said. Security around all of the activities, including the RBI tournaments, will be tight.

"There is going to be a lot of police presence, which we see as a deterrent to try to disrupt anything bad," he said. "A lot of things that are in place people can see, but others they can't."

Brandon Ellington, a state House member whose district includes much of the east side, said it's an insult that the city is providing so much police presence and worrying so much about the appearance of urban neighborhoods for the sake of strangers.

"I think it's a travesty," he said. "The only time these poor neighborhoods get any treatment at all is when out-of-towners come to the city. It's a lot like China before the Olympics. The infrastructure repair they're doing now is only so the east side we know won't be seen by out-of-towners."

SF City College could close in 8 months

The state's largest college could close after state accreditation evaluators gave the school just eight months to prove it has a viable survival plan. The financially struggling City College of San Francisco was ordered Tuesday to "make preparations for closure," the San Francisco Chronicle reported (http://bit.ly/LXHvbC). The Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges cited "leadership weaknesses at all levels" as a reason that its accreditation is in jeopardy. Schools must be accredited to receive public funding, and the college would likely close without those funds. The commission could vote as early as June to pull the school's certification. About 90,000 students attend the school. City College of San Francisco must prove to the commission that it should retain its accreditation. The school's action plan is due Oct. 15. "During the 'show cause' period, the college must make preparations for closure" according to the commission's policy, Barbara Beno, the commission president wrote in a letter to the school. While the college has seen reduced funding in recent years, Beno said all schools in the state have faced similar problems, yet only three of the state's 112 community colleges are in precarious positions. The other two schools in trouble are College of the Redwoods in Eureka and Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo. In a written response to the commission's findings, interim Chancellor Pamila Fisher said the school is "fully aware of the seriousness of the situation." "The ultimate responsibility rests with the trustees, administration, faculty and staff to reinvent City College so that it can continue to achieve its important mission, but in a more cost-effective and efficient way," she told the Chronicle. City College Trustee Steve Ngo said he was surprised by the commission's action, and that the school will work its way out of the predicament.

Re-election drives Obama's legacy

WASHINGTON (AP) ? Presidents live in a world of wins and losses quickly forgotten. Rarely are they presented with the kind of defining moment that President Barack Obama experienced when the Supreme Court upheld his health care law.

It's one that will transcend his presidency, change America's social safety net and shape how he is likely to be remembered.

Then there's the catch.

If Obama does not win a second term in November, he risks losing both the law and the core of his legacy. Republican Mitt Romney will try to gut the law and impose something else. All the rest of what Obama accomplishes will fall under the dimmer view of history assigned to one-term presidents.

Immediate attention isn't on the lasting consequences. Right now, the campaign retains its focus and remains a biting contest between two men with vastly different visions about how to fix the economy.

Obama's re-election message is not expected to differ because of the ruling. But his presidency has changed.

Where others failed, he succeeded, pushing through a plan to get basic health coverage to millions of uninsured people in the richest nation on earth.

"Obamacare," as critics derisively call it and supporters adoringly do, is his Medicare, his Social Security.

The high court ensured that the law would crown Obama's legacy. He did it with no Republican help in Congress, with half the country against him, with a Supreme Court led by a conservative chief justice who produced the surprising, deciding vote to rescue his law.

"If he wins re-election, he's got one huge marker down that he can build upon," said Bill Daley, Obama's former chief of staff.

Daley said if Obama achieves a long-term debt deal on immigration or brokers an energy plan as well, and avoids major mess-ups for eight years, "then that has the potential to be a very significant presidency."

Douglas Brinkley of Rice University, among the presidential historians who have met with Obama for dinners, said Obama wants to be remembered on the scale of Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Lyndon Johnson.

Now, Brinkley said, Obama is poised to go down as one of the leading progressive presidents for delivering on a health care promise that has eluded so many, for so long.

"It's a bit of confounding presidency," Brinkley said. "It always seems like Obama is about to flip off the rails. And then lo and behold, he's back on top again."

And if he loses to Romney? "It all changes," Brinkley said. "One-term presidents have a hard time building tremendous legacies."

The law is built around a mandate that people who can afford to buy health insurance must do so to help rein in the costs of coverage for everyone. Overall, the legislation is unpopular with the public, although individual parts of it are not.

Romney calls it an act of government intrusion and says he will ask Congress to repeal the law. Obama's triumph at the Supreme Court, therefore, seemed less about legislative permanency and more about electoral urgency.

Within hours, a fundraising appeal under Obama's name warned donors of Romney's undo-it plans and said, "We can't allow that to happen. We have to win this election."

Just don't expect Obama's fundamental pitch to voters to turn much at all, White House and campaign officials said.

To the degree that the health care law becomes a more prominent part of his campaign, it will still be in the framework that Obama has settled upon, his vision of economic revival and opportunity and fair taxation.

He wins by persuading people about the potential jobs ahead, not the health care fight behind him.

Campaign officials say they do see some fresh opportunity to change perceptions about the law and draw contrasts with Romney. They will do that by focusing on popular elements that could disappear, such as the promise of insurance for people with medical conditions.

In his majority opinion, Roberts made clear he was not offering a policy endorsement of what Obama and his Democratic allies had done.

"Those decisions are entrusted to our nation's elected leaders, who can be thrown out of office if the people disagree with them," the chief justice said. "It is not our job to protect the people from the consequences of their political choices."

Obama is that guy trying not to get thrown out of office. He had an eye on the legacy of the law within hours of knowing it was saved.

"I'm as confident as ever that when we look back five years from now, or 10 years from now, or 20 years from now, we'll be better off, because we had the courage to pass this law and keep moving forward," he said.

Implied in there was his message to voters to keep moving forward with him.

"The court victory is a huge step towards making affordable health care a reality to everyone in the country," said Robert Gibbs, a senior advisor to Obama's campaign. "We have another big hurdle left. It's called the election."

Sea Level Rise Can't Be Stopped

Here's a quick inventory of problems to cope with.

Florida has a maximum land height of 42 feet. A three foot rise in see level, plus shore erosion due to larger and more frequent storms could reduce Florida to a stub of the current state with central islands where the everglades are now.

Expanded erosion of barrier island and sand dunes along the gulf and eastern seaboard will eliminate thousands of square miles of existing shoreline, destroying some of the most valuable property in the country.

Much of the Mississippi delta and most of Louisiana will simply go away (a great deal of which is already below sea level due to subsidence from poor river engineering by the Army Corp of Engineers.)

The West Coast won't pass unscathed, because towns along the bays in both southern and northern California, will suffer significant land loss.

The simple fact is that the big cities of the world are virtually all coastal cities and as such will be seriously impacted. The amount of land shared be people and critters will shrink a couple percent (large coastal plains will be inundated... kiss Bangladesh and a number of small islands in the South Pacific goodbye.)

You bet we can engineer around it. Move cities slowly back. Build higher dikes and levees. Abandon places that are hopeless. Its just one more cost, and significant cost to consider as we continue to spew greenhouse gas into the air.
